The Green Valley Campground is located in Cuyamaca Rancho State Park six miles north of I-8 at the Descanso exit. About a 40-minute drive to the east of San Diego is the Cuyamaca Rancho State Park. The park has over 24,000 acres and offers an oasis from the surrounding dry southern California landscape. The Cuyamaca Peak is at 6,512 feet and is the 2nd highest point in San Diego. If you camp at Green Valley Campground it does get chilly at night.
